MARSHALL, Texas – The Rust College baseball program clung to a 7-5 edge heading into the final frame, but a two-run dinger tied the game before an RBI-double snatched defeat from the jaws of victory in a heartbreaking 8-7 setback in seven.

  • Jackson Bryant had the best stat line on the pitching staff, hurling 4.1 innings of three-run ball (two earned) while walking nobody and striking out a pair on top of four hits sprinkled in.

 

  • Kyron Baker took his pinch-running role to its max capability, scoring once and stealing second base twice.
