Rust Top Performers (Harris-Stowe Stats Unavailable):

  • Arvis Latting was the skid stopper, earning the team's first win in its 11th try with a 4.2-inning, one-run (zero earned), one-hit masterpiece against the Eutectics in the Bo Sellers Classic finale.

  • Brytan Sampson put the exclamation point on the dub, slamming the door shut by collecting the final five outs as he yielded just a single baserunner.

  • Jalik Demar was a multi-faceted dynamo, hitting .500 with a team-best five steals in addition to scoring twice, smacking a double, walking, and driving in a run.

  • Kyrent Cole was all about speed and patience, being the only player to walk more than once during a 2-for-3 (.667) weekend where he also swiped five bags to go along with a Bearcat-best three runs scored and a two-bagger.

  • Rashid Muhammad, Malik Berrien, and Matthew LeBlanc all had identical lines at in the batter's box as each went 3-of-8 (.375) while combining for four runs, four stolen bases, three runs batted in, and a pair of doubles between them.

  • Xavier Campbell performed admirably both on the bump and at the dish, tossing 2.2 scoreless frames with his only scores being unearned, on top of batting .400 as he cranked out a double and drove in a runner.
